Best Friends? (Short Audio Story)
Project Overview
Premise: Late night, best friends Mark and Karen are hanging out like they usually do on a Friday night. However, Karen has a secret she wants to tell Mark. How will Mark react?
This project will be posted on YouTube, this is a non-paid project, however you will be credited in end credits and description.
Requirements:
1. Good microphone quality (echo and noise will decrease chances of being cast)
2. Acting quality (since it is an audio only project, ability to showcase the right emotions is key)
3. Meet Deadline and availability (recording lines as soon as you can helps a lot and being able to redo lines if necessary)

Karen – Stuck in friend-zone so far, strongly hints at her feelings for Mark. She can a loud and funny, but when it comes her personal feelings for Mark, she becomes shy.
Voice should sound between the ages of 15-25. Range from high to medium-high.
Voice example: Terra from Teen Titans animated show.
(Narration) Stupid cliches. I never thought love was for me. For years, Mark and I have been best friends. But something just happened. A look he gave me or a smile I gave him… I don’t really remember exactly what it was. But that was when I realized we couldn’t be best friends forever.
Then you owe me a dinner date. (realizes how weird that sounded) I mean… since you’re such a good cook and all. (voice drifts awkwardly)
(bashful/shy) What if I want something different? Between you and me.

Mark – oblivious to Karen’s feelings, last relationship didn’t work. Voice should sound between the ages of 15-25.
Voice range from medium to medium-low. Has gentle voice when he is concerned, but can be enthusiastic when joking around with Karen.

(friendly banter) Wow, no I wouldn’t. You know I’m a better cook than you.
(reminiscing) You know it’s been three years since we first met? A lot has happened since then... We met at one of Hayley’s parties right?
(worried/concerned) If something’s wrong you can tell me. We’re friends remember?
