Hello! This is a casting call for our Bendy and the Ink Machine/Dark Revival fangame, Bendy and the Illusion of Hope. There is no deadline yet nor is there any pay, you can ignore the set deadline. We are almost finished with chapter 1 and plan on making it 5 chapters like the Bendy games. This project was created a year before BatDR's release but we plan to continue it and try and keep it original from BatDR. Feel free to audition for multiple parts as any help you want to give is much appreciated, (there will definitely be roles added or removed overtime)!

We are using Discord to make this so please include your Discord tag in your audition, or reach out to me through the dms on here so I can give you a server link. And if you don't have Discord, that's okay! I'm sure we can work something out like over CCC/Instagram/email/gamejolt, whatever works! It is preferable that you stay active in the discord server as this is a long term project.

For voice actors, please make sure you have a good enough impression of the character you want and can stay for the duration of the project! Majority of audition lines are from the actual Bendy series, some are lines we made for our chapter 1 trailer. Feel free to change up wording of voice lines as you please. Your impression of the characters doesn't need to be perfect, just try your best. Just focus on making the lines sound natural in that voice.

For anyone wanting to help with the coding/3d models n' things, we are using Unity for the game engine but anything else can be up to you!

  • Project is still open!!

    Hello! Sorry this has been so inactive. The fangame is still very much in development! Some of you I had asked for Discord accounts but have not added you yet- no worries, you all are still chosen right now. I just am waiting for when we can successfully say we are closer to releasing Chapter 1 so we can redo the trailer, to then get your voice lines, which hopefully will not be too far from now.

    Also please tell me if you aren't interested in the project anymore (if you've sent an audition and aren't in the server already), I wouldn't want to force you to do something you don't want to lol. I think I might edit/add roles soon but I'm not sure!

Before BatDR came out we were calling him the narrator. in our story he is most likely going to be a tour guide and a Gent employee. He sounds older and raspy. He seems to have malicious intent and is ominous.

He's said to see everything that goes around in the studio and he runs the projector booth in the music department. He has a southern accent and is slightly older. He starts up my projector, and he dashes from the projection booth and down to the recording studio like the little devil himself was chasing behind. Few seconds later, the projector turns off. But Sammy, oh no, he don't come out for a long time. This man is weird. Crazy weird. I got half a mind to talk to Mr. Drew about all this, I really do. But then again, I have to admit. Mr. Drew's got his own peculiarities."

Wally is from Boston, he often jokes around and tries to see the best in things. He's pretty carefree and calm. He's smart with people but doesn't really care about their personal issues and just does his own thing. He's the janitor/repairman of the studio and is upbeat.

Thomas is a stern, strong man working at Gent corporation. He helped with the installment of the ink machine and is a good repair man. His voice is somewhat gravelly/rough and he's pretty serious. He had a hand in the creation of Bendy, which he regrets.

Buddy was in the art department at the studio. He's best friends with Dot and got roped into the studios secrets.
