Mongrels - The Animated Series

Mongrels - The Animated Series

Project Overview

We are producing a high-quality fan continuation of the cult-classic BBC adult puppet sitcom Mongrels. The show retains its original dark humour, sharp satire, and musical numbers. We are looking for voice actors who can capture the exact essence, vocal grit, and comedic timing of the original characters. Excellent microphone quality and the ability to sing in-character are required.

Latest Updates

  • Callum West has officially joined "Mongrels - The Animated Series" as the voice of Vince!

Casting for Mongrels: The Animated Series continues with some massive news! We are beyond thrilled to announce that Callum West (@c-j-w) has officially signed on to voice our favorite unhinged, foul-mouthed, orange-and-brown fox, Vince!

Known for his chaotic energy and zero filter, Vince is the ultimate back-alley loose cannon—whether he's threatening people with his invisible dad, mishearing everyday words into terrible insults, or belting out cynical musical numbers behind the pub. Callum is stepping into the role to bring that exact wild, unpredictable spirit to our new 2D animated format.

With Ronnie Christopher Doyle locked in as Nelson and Callum West now joining him as Vince, our iconic chaotic duo is officially complete!

Stay tuned—casting announcements for Destiny, Marion, and Kali are just around the corner!

  • Aline Le Gonidec joins Mongrels: The Animated Series as Additional Composer!

We are thrilled to announce that Aline Le Gonidec who is best known for composing, has officially joined the team as the additional composer for Mongrels: The Animated Series!

While Aline won't be writing custom, from-scratch tracks for the show, they will be curating and bringing an incredible lineup of licensed music to the series. Get ready for some unforgettable needle-drops, darkly comedic background cues, and perfectly licensed tracks to score all the back-alley chaos, pub-bin disasters, and musical numbers.

Stay tuned for more updates as we bring this 2D animated reboot to life!

  • Ronnie Christopher Doyle has officially joined "Mongrels - The Animated Series" as the voice of Nelson!

Casting for Mongrels - The Animated Series is officially underway, and we are thrilled to announce that Ronnie Christopher Doyle has stepped into the role of our favorite neurotic, middle-class fox, Nelson!

Ronnie brings an incredible energy to the character, instantly capturing that classic Mongrels blend of posh dignity, existential dread, and back-alley survival. From navigating the chaotic pub bins to dealing with Vince's latest misadventures, his audition tape proved he is the perfect voice to lead the pack.

With our Nelson locked in, production is moving full steam ahead. Stay tuned—auditions and announcements for the rest of the gang (Vince, Destiny, Marion, and Kali) are coming soon!
