Project Overview

Band Pride is an upcoming original story-plotted racing game regarding band instruments turned into GO-KARTS! Depending on which instrument you choose to play throughout the story, your main band-kart will be based on the instrument you play as you go through personalized upgrades. This game serves as an important and motivating message to stay confident in what you believe in, because it will always come back to you. No matter how long it takes to find your strength and take a stand against musical emotional destruction, you should always stay true to yourself and stand up for what you believe in.

This is a deferred paid, and long-term project, meaning people get to choose to be unpaid or paid for this project. Discord is required for communication!

Summary

You, Devereux Dempsey, start off as a homeless and starved adult who has lost everything. While being the only family member alive, he starts off brand new into a community band by gaining back interest to play a musical instrument from when he was in middle and high school bands just by not only a piece of paper, but a flier that is served to many other musicians to be encouraged on joining a band. Your band director, Ms. Lavender, first finds you and becomes worried sick about your current state, so you are encouraged to have the best life you will ever receive as not only the next big musician, but a motorist around the world. As time goes on, you will encounter section leaders and other friends that can guide you throughout the game, including assistance from your band director.

    Hello everyone!

    For those who still follow the Band Pride CCC page, I'd like to inform you all on what's happening recently.

    As of April 2nd, me and my cast and crew has officially started full-production/development for Band Pride! I would like to thank everyone and those in the team for supporting this game so far! However, I'd like to give a few key points to what's going to happen in the coming weeks.

    We are planning on editing the reveal trailer and is subject to release sometime May-late July. Me and the music composers are working on the instrumental track for a certain song that I'd rather not disclose further info yet, but it's for the reveal trailer too.

    One of our 2D artists (Clem) just dropped out from the project, so we are now open for 1 more 2D artist gap in the team! We are also open for a extra music composer, in case of resignations. If you know someone or has a recommendation, please dm me on Discord or on CCC. I'm looking forward to do more development for this game with this wonderful cast and crew!

  • Quick update regarding VA auditions.

    Hello everyone,

    If anyone has auditioned/or still planning to audition for Chloe Carey, I will give you all some time by Friday (11/10) or sometime this weekend, and then I'll cast the replacement for that character. Starting the end of next week, I might be a bit busy as I am about to start packing the rest of my stuff for the new house/apartment. For sending voice lines after casting, I will hopefully send part 1/4 of the script sometime next week or 2.

    I apologize profusely for those who are currently in the voice cast waiting for voice lines. I have been going through personal life events lately (for those unaware).

  • Reminder.

    For those who are wanting to audition for any role for this game (voice acting, 2D art, 3D modeling, etc.), we are still looking for VAs to voice 5 open female characters, 1 potential backup male and female singer, Unreal Engine programming, and 3D modeling. Oh, we could also need a few people to play their band instruments with the music composers, due to being a "band-themed" racing game!
