Backlot Radio – A Fallout 4 Radio Mod
Backlot Radio is a lore-friendly radio station mod for Fallout 4, broadcasting from the remains of a pre-War Hollywood backlot. Hosted by Ms. Marquee, a stylish but long-isolated Robobrain once designed to entertain studio employees, the station mixes Golden Age show tunes, pre-War swing, and movie gossip with cheerful studio announcements and vintage advertisements.
Though her booth lies sealed beneath the rubble, Ms. Marquee keeps the airwaves alive, carrying on as if the world never ended. Between playful chatter and polished ad reads, she fusses with her old soundboard of applause and laughter. Her show includes segments for music, gossip, studio announcements, pleas for help, and pre-war advertisements — all delivered in a style reminiscent of 1950s radio glamour and showbiz patter.
The station features:
A selection of 55 songs, focused on showtunes, swing, and big band ballads.
Some interludes by Ms. Marquee herself, including advertising for pre-war products, celebrity gossip, and occasional breaks in character by Ms. Marquee

Description:
Ms. Marquee is the elegant and slightly eccentric robotic host of Backlot Radio. She fiddles with her soundboard of old audience recording, using them to fill the silence and comfort herself. She adores fashion (especially hats and scarves) and constantly references her favorite actor, Rod Stoddard, star of the Captain Cosmos serials, for whom she still carries a wistful crush. Her voice should balance vintage Hollywood bravado with subtle instability. She’s still performing, even when no one is listening, as both a way to fulfill her programming and satiate her own loneliness..
Requirements:
- Main host of the radio
- Around 250 lines as of now, mostly intros and outros for songs, ad reads for pre-war products, pre-war gossip, studio announcements, and rarer pleas for help
- Ms. Marquee's voice is bright, dramatic, like a hostess
- High quality audio, akin to other characters in the Fallout games
- (Optional) Familiarity with the Fallout franchise is recommended but not needed
