Astroverse | Minecraft Superhero Cinematic Universe

Project Overview

Astroverse is a new original superhero universe created by Joziah2 and Kitkatgalaxy, two Minecraft machinima creators. We have joined together to create Kaziah Productions - a new YouTube channel where our joint projects will be uploaded. Astroverse will consist of multiple phases (4-5) each consisting of 3-5 films. This is a casting call for four films included in ‘phase 1’ of Astroverse. We have kept this casting call as simple as possible to avoid spoilers, thus why we have only listed character names, and not their superhero names. 

Note: There will be some swearing across Astroverse, but it’ll be very minor - Most characters won’t swear at all.

FILMS IN 'PHASE 1'

‘Tombstone’ 

A pair of researchers in Egypt come across a startling secret...

‘Vortex’ 

A father stumbles across a dark plot in the company he works at, and their evil plan starts on… Bring your child to work day!?

‘Mindwipe’ 

A teen struggling through life stumbles across a startling reality… Everything he says has started coming true!

‘Darkness Rising’ 

A convicted supervillain is busted out of prison, who will stop his rise to power?!

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A decent mic with little to no background noise

  • 15+ (Can make some exceptions depending on the character)

  • Must have Discord!

  • Committed to play the role (This is a long-term project)

  • Able to send lines by the given due date (Time may vary from 1 to 4 weeks)




Note (20th December): We want to thank everyone who has auditioned for Astroverse! Although there are many auditions, we're still in need of extras. The extra list is quite long and we don't have enough voice actors to fill those roles. Please consider auditioning for extras. Thank you!

  • 6 Characters Cast

    We’re blown away by how many auditions we’ve received over the last few weeks, with some truly amazing voice actors showing off their talent for us to choose from. However, a handful of the roles are receiving the majority of the auditions. Kitkat and I decided it would be a good idea to cast some of those characters (only the ones who have auditions we’re really really happy with) early, in hopes of drawing some attention to the other roles. ANTI-HERO

An older gentleman who despite his age, is still full of energy! While he can be a bit reckless he's got a big heart and his head is screwed on straight. He's got a penchant for sarcasm and snappy comebacks.

Voice: Low ranged

Important: Creepy, Sarcastic, Mature or Menacing depending on the line.

  • (sarcastic) Ever been punched by sand?

  • This sounds an awful lot like not-my-problem.

  • (menacing) Despite what you’ve said, if you’re ‘beyond human'... That makes you just as much of a monster as me, doesn’t it.

A man married to his work after being divorced by his wife, Nicholas is a mature and focused man with a soft spot for his only daughter. His focus on work may leave him a little rude, but he makes up for it with scientific knowledge.

Malachi - The nobody. The below average teen who can't seem to catch a break from the boys at school. His childish nature, confidence and attitude routinely get him into situations he can't handle, but he's not one to let that hold him down. He also loves Superheroes... Like, he's obsessed.

A somewhat eccentric man, Donny is filled with energy and enthusiasm, and an overwhelming overprotective nature towards his daughter, Isabella. He used to work for A-tex, but now spends his days making sure that no harm (or boys) comes to his daughter.
