Archie Sonic Comics Dub - Casting for Various Versions of Sonic the Hedgehog
Project Overview
On behalf of the showrunner NAZE:
We are doing a full dub of the Archie Sonic comics and its spinoffs, and we are looking for voice actors that can provide the voice of Classic Sonic, Adventure Sonic, and Boom Sonic. For Classic Sonic, we are not looking for an exact impression of Jaleel White or Martin Burke (OVA Sonic), but you are more than welcome to do those for your audition as Classic, and you are even more than welcome to put your own spin on it. For Adventure Sonic, we are looking for your own spin on it, though a Ryan Drummond impression is allowed. For Boom, we are looking for a Roger Craig Smith impression.

Sonic is overall a fun and fast daredevil out on an ego trip. Having saved the world numerous times has left Sonic with an inflated sense of self as he thinks highly of himself. Throughout his life, Sonic has exhibited a great desire for adventure and excitement, in keeping with his super speed. Thrill-seeking aside, he genuinely cares for the people and things he fights for, which at times has led him to break the rules in order to do what he thinks must be done. His greatest flaw in this area may be that he has developed something of a need for action, which leaves him uneasy in times of peace and often influences his decisions more heavily than any other factor. Though he has great loyalty to his friends, family, nation, and Mobius in general, he has shown a tendency to be hesitant about committing to anything that doesn't allow him to fight for the things he cares about.
With Classic Sonic, we are not looking for exact impressions of Jaleel White, we are looking for a version of the character that truly fits for Classic Sonic. We accept impressions, but you can definitely put your own spin on it.

"Yo, Robotnik! You missed a spot of dirt! Time to clean up your act!"
"Exactly! Faster than the eye could see, I took him apart and then posed his husk just to drive you bonkers!"

[being squeezed by a rattlesnake robot] "She's... puttin' the squeeze on me! S-Sorry, lady... Third time or not... I won't fall victim to your charms! Besides-- I already have a significant other!"
(from issue 26, showcases Sonic's stubbornness and quick temper)
"Speak for yourself, pal! I'm going back to the surface and kick some Robuttnik!"
(from issue 14, shows Sonic breaking the fourth wall)
[he does this a lot in the early issues]
"Shut up, Tails! You're crowding us out of the panel!"
(from issue 37, shows Sonic's concern for his friends and family, especially in the most dire of situations)
[turns and sees the boulder, shouts to her with fear and concern]
"SALLY!" [runs to her aide] "She's hurt! SAL! SAL!" [picks her up] "I've got to get her back to Knothole or she won't make it!"
(from issue 30, a more positive example of concern and care Sonic has for those close to him)
"Don't worry, Uncle Chuck! We'll change you back to your old self soon."
The personality of Classic Sonic carries over to Adventure Sonic. Here, we are not exactly looking for a perfect Ryan Drummond impression, but if you have a Drummond impression go for it. We encourage putting your own spin on it and providing a voice that you think best suits Adventure Sonic. DO NOT USE A JASON GRIFFITH IMPRESSION.
EDIT: I miswrote the Adventure line as "a guy who likes adventure," it's actually "a guy that loves adventure." My bad. Auditions that say that still count, just a mistake on my part.
[from Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic talking to Shadow before their boss battle]
"What you see is what you get. Just a guy that loves adventure. I'm Sonic the Hedgehog."
[energetically] "LET'S BLAST THROUGH WITH SONIC SPEED!"
[tauntingly] "Catch me if you can, Eggman!"
Boom Sonic is strictly Roger Craig Smith. Deliver your best Roger Craig Smith Sonic impression. Boom Sonic is a lot more lighthearted, pulls a lot of meta-humor type jokes, but at his core still cares for his friends and has that driving desire to take down Eggman.
[not from Sonic Boom, but fits perfectly for the character]
"If you leave your game, stay safe, stay alert, and whatever you do, don't die! Because if you die outside of your own game, you don't regenerate. EVER! Game over."
[with his signature attitude] "Ah... not my best moment. But hey, even when facing certain doom, I still look good!"
[tauntingly] "Catch ya later, eggface!"
[angrily] "You know what I think is 'compassionate'? Saving the village from Eggman! Like, every week! But do I get any props for that? No! Everyone just goes around gasping at me whenever I call a guy a 'guy', or people 'people'! I QUIT HEROING! AND I QUIT THIS STUPID GROUP!!!"
"I guess when you get tired, you can just recharge. Well, that’s the difference between you and me, Metal, I... don't... get... tired!"
