Since Jake is the narrator of the first book, he will have a lot more lines than any other part. It's okay if you don't know what the book series is about, I will send you your lines if you are unable to get ahold of the book because I know that it's nearly impossible to find them anywhere these days. He's basically a normal guy -sometimes called the 'Fearless Leader' by the Animorphs- who's best friends with Marco, cousins with Rachel, a hero-figure to Tobias and who like-likes Cassie.
(Narrating) My name is Jake. That's my first name, obviously. I can't tell you my last name. It would be too dangerous.
(Concerned) "I don't know, Tobias, let's review the facts. You say you turned into your own pet cat. Turned INTO an actual cat. Yes, I have to say that sounds crazy to me."
(Confident) "No," I said, surprising myself. "The Andalite gave us the power of morphing for a reason. It wasn't just for the fun of being a horse or a bird. He hoped we would fight."
Jake's best friend since diapers, Marco is the Animorph who came up with the name 'Animorph', though he is the most reluctant. His mom died a few years back when she went out to sea and a storm swallowed her up and his dad has been messed up ever since. Marco is extremely sarcastic, egotistical and loves being ironic, but he's also sensitive and everything he does is for a reason, whether it's arguing with his friends or deciding to try and forget about the parasitic aliens trying to enslave humanity.
(teasing/annoyed) "Out of quarters" *pause* "Certain people keep forgetting that the SleazeTroll shows up right after you cross the Nether Fjord. So certain people keep losing the game- and losing our quarters."
(disbelief) "This is nuts," *pause* "This whole thing is nuts. Yeerks and spaceships and slugs taking over people's brains and Andalites and the power to change into animals? Give me a break."
(annoyed/snappish) "Oh shut up!" *pause* "You're my best friend, you jerk. Like I'm going to let you face all this alone? I'm in. I'm in, to rescue Tom. That's it. Then I'm done."
Tobias is a loner who looks up to Jake since he was rescued from a group of bullies by him. He's got a messed family, having his dad die and his mom walk out on him so he lives with his aunt and uncle, who hate each other and send him from relative-to-relative across country.
(Ecstatic) "You have no idea what it's like, Jake. Being a cat is so... it's... I can't even describe it. You're so strong, for one thing. Just all this coiled power, and the way you can move! You know what I did? I jumped onto my dresser. Three feet straight up in the air, and I landed like a feather. Three feet! You know how high that is when you're a cat? It's like a person jumping maybe thirty feet straight up?"
"That's Homer, Jake. You are Jake. You're just in a body copied from Homer's DNA. That's the real Homer out there. You put him out there. Focus. YOU are Jake. Jake."
"Anyway, he gave me... visions, I guess you'd call them. Pictures. Information. A lot of it, all athe once. All jumbled. I haven't even started to sort it all out. But I do know about the Yeerk pools and the Kandrona."
Called Xena: Warrior-Princess by Marco and Storm from X-Men by her cousin, Jake, Rachel is Cassie's polar opposite and best friend. She's always the first to jump into a fight and though she may look like a supermodel, she's not afraid to make any person who calls her that's life miserable.
"Are you going to come and protect us, you big, strong m-a-a-a-n?" *pause* "You think we're helpless just because-"
"Creepy." *pause* "Like, if you took cheerleaders, combined them with gym teachers, and made them all drink ten cups off coffee."
(Furious) <Puny little nothing!> *pause* <You attack ME?!>
The peacemaker of the group, Cassie likes nature and animals more than people. Her father has a rehab clinic for wild animals and her mom works at a zoo called The Gardens. She's best friends with Rachel and may like-like Jake.
"We can bandage that wound," *pause* "Jake, give me your shirt. We can tear it up and make bandages."
"Yeah, it was stupid of me. It's just, man! It's so amazing, running like that. Out in the open spaces, running and running."
"Keep a grip on your human side," *pause* "We can't have you off chasing cats or whatever. You need to focus hard on staying in control,"
Lasting from chapter 2 to chapter 6, War Prince Elfangor-Sirinial-Shamtul is an Andalite, and the first openly alien creature any of the Animorphs meet. He falls to Earth, fatally wounded and gives five human teenagers the power to morph before taking his last stand against his mortal enemy, Visser Three. He doesn't exactly speak, since Andalites have no mouth, but his thought-speak should be very dignified and fluid.
<You do not understand. Yeerks are different. They have no body like yours or mine. They live in the bodies of other species. They are...>
<The Yeerks are parasites. They must have a host to live in. In this form they are known as Controllers. They ender the brain and are absorbed into it, taking over the host's thoughts and feelings. They try to get the host to accept them voluntarily. It is easier that way. Otherwise the host may be able to resist, at least a little.>
<You will only need to touch a creature, to acquire its DNA pattern, and you will be able to BECOME that creature. It requires concentration and determination, but, if you are strong, you can do it. There are... limitations. Problems. Dangers, even. But there is no time to explain it all... no time. You will have to learn for yourselves. But first, do you wish to receive this power?>
The villain of the series, Visser Three (formerly Esplin 4966) is the Yeerk who has taken over the mind of a once-well respected Andalite. He's the third-in-command (hence the title 'Visser Three') and mainly in charge of the invasion of Earth. He believes the Animorphs are highly-trained Andalite warriors and is trying to kill them off because them interfering with his plans make him look foolish when he reports his progress to the council.
(gloating) <What have we here? A meddling Andalite?> *pause* <Ah, but no ordinary Andalite warrrior. Prince Elfangor-Sirinial-Shamtul, if I am not mistaken. An honor to meet you again. You're a legend now. How many of our fighters have you shredded? Seven, or was it eight by the time the battle ended?>
(screaming in pain) <Aaaaaarrrrrgh!>
<This Taxxon fool says you are wild animals,> *pause* <He wants to know if he and his brothers can eat you.> *pause* <But I know you are not animals. I know who and what you are. So. Not all of you Andalites died when I burned your ship.>
The assistant principal of the Animorphs school and the first Controller known to the Animorphs. He helps run an organization called The Sharing and just acts like a normal person except when he's with Visser Three or other Yeerks.
"Just save the head," *pause* "Bring that to me and we can identify it."
"Item one. We still have not found the brats who were at the construction site," *pause* "I want them found. Visser Three wants them found. Does anyone have any clues?"
Tom is Jake's older brother and is in an organization called The Sharing at school where he's a full member. He's an extremely important Yeerk and is very egotistical when he's showing his true colors.
"Jake, you got Homer in there with you?" *pause* "Mom's on the phone, stop him yapping-"
"Flying saucers," *pause* "Only complete dips believe that kind of stuff." *pause* "You don't believe in that, do you? Aliens and spaceships and little green men from Mars?"
"It could have been anyone," *pause* "But it MIGHT be the one who's my brother, Jake. I know he goes through the construction site sometimes. That's why I brought him here tonight. So we could either make him ours... or kill him."
A human-Controller who's trying to locate the kids who saw Visser Three the night he murdered War Prince Elfangor-Sirinial-Shamtul.
(Suspicious) "Morning," *pause* "You kids, uh... hiding something?"
"We want these kids," *pause* "We want them real bad. See, it was dangerous what they did. Could have been someone hurt. So we want to find these kids."
(Stern) "This is just for full members," *pause* "Private business. You understand?"
Jake and Tom's oblivious parent.
(Teasing) "I don't know why you bother to ask," *pause* "His answer is always the same- hanging out."
(Teasing) "A girl," *pause* "I know these things. I'm a doctor."
Jake and Tom's oblivious parent.
"Where have you been all afternoon and evening?"
"Eat the broccoli, Jake, it's good for you. It's full of trace minerals and vitamins you can't get anywhere else."
"You filth, let me go! Let me go! I am a free woman! You can't keep doing this! I am not a slave! Let me go!"
(Shouting) "You!" *pause* "You two. Who are you?"
(Casual) "Hey, you're Cassie, right? The doc's kid? How's it going?"
(Shouting) "You!" *pause* "You two. Who are you?"
The Hork-Bajir are a peaceful species who were taken over by the Yeerks and used as living, dispensible weapons. Their blades, originally used to harvest bark from tree-like organisms on their home planet, are used to forcefully infest unwilling hosts.
(Alien language) "Ghafrash! Here! Ghafrash fit! Enemy! Get!"
(Alien language) "Ghafrash fit nahar! I get! I kill!"
(Alien language) Edna's to tell fallay nyot fit? Whatever order."
A cannibalistic species who willingly let themselves be enslaved by the Yeerks. They look like giant, many-clawed centipedes.
"Ssssweer trrreeesswew eeeesstrew."
