Angel Quest
Project Overview
Angel Quest is a 2m30s Sheridan College 4th Year Thesis Film about an Angel tasked with preventing the end of the world, and his unlucky "Chosen One", Clara Dubois, a corner store cashier more concerned with making a steady paycheck than saving the world.
The film is a sitcom style buddy comedy with dark fantasy undertones, and follows Clara as she struggles to make up for the fact that she forgot to restock alcohol for New Year's Eve and Angel as he makes fun of her for it.
We are currently looking for a VOICE ACTOR for Clara and a COMPOSER. The voice of Angel has already been cast.

Voice Actor
Clara is a tomboyish, awkward, short tempered but well meaning 20 something cashier at a run down and under staffed corner store, as well as "the Chosen One" for an epic, world changing biblical prophecy. However, due to personal circumstances she is currently more concerned with paying her bills on time than the fate of humanity.
Clara genuinely believes in trying her best at everything she does. Unfortunately, her best usually isn't very good, and ever since Angel's made it his personal mission to irritate her into fulfilling the prophecy so he can go back to Heaven, her best has been downright abysmal. Still, she tries her best to keep her chin up and her head out of the water.
LOOKING FOR: Young adult, lower or medium pitch, tomboyish, relatively natural sounding, somewhat raspy and snappy when irritated or exasperated, anxious, slightly more awkward and higher pitched in cheerier moments.
Looking for someone comfortable with grunting, sighing in frustration, and angrily yelling. Essentially, this character crashes out a lot.
Also, I'm hoping to cast someone who is comfortable with doing 2 rounds of retakes and have calculated that into the rate for this role.

Looking for a composer to make musical stingers and background music for the film and its credits.
INSPIRATIONS: Brad Breeck (Gravity Falls), Yoann Laulan (Dead Cells), R.I.P. & Nick Stratton (Music for Vewn's films Twins in Paradise and Bobo the Monkey), Louie Zong's Beyond the Edge of the World Album, Ryan Elder (Rick and Morty), Mort Garson (The Unexplained, Plantasia)
This project calls for sitcom-type stingers and background music, however I'm not looking for traditional sitcom music / stingers like in Friends or Seinfeld. I'm looking for something that sounds like what Rick and Morty is to Sci-Fi but for dark fantasy -- it shouldn't be so moody that it distracts from the lighthearted and comedic tone of the film, but it should still have enough edge that it could feel like it could turn dark at any moment, like Brad Breeck's music for Gravity Falls.
Applicants must send in a portfolio that they believe represents what they can bring to the project based on the above influences. After portfolio submission, applicants that fit the project will be given access to a rough cut of the film, and asked to create a small sample audio of what they're inspired to create for the project.
Since this is a soundtrack for an animated film, the rhythm of the animated actions must influence the final track. This means that careful consideration of the rough animation you are given is required. This also means that heavy one-on-one contact will be expected for any WIP updates, changes, or edits.
I'm hoping to cast someone who is comfortable doing at least 2 rounds of revisions and have calculated that into the rate for this role.
