Anastasia the Musical: Quartet at the Ballet Cover
Project Overview
For my first ever self-directed CCC project I would like to make a cover of the beautiful "Quartet at the Ballet" from the Broadway adaption of Anastasia. In this project I need singers for the roles of Dmitri, Gleb and the Empress Marie (I will be singing the part of Anastasia) We will be using this instrumental version: //www.youtube.com/embed/2fWdlH3wpnc
I know that the end part is tricky, so I am happy to create guide tracks for any casted singers that need help.
Singers will either be casted on the deadline, or in advance if I am truly convinced by your audition. I look forward to hearing your beautiful singing!

New Deadline: Monday June 22nd
Hi all, thank you much for all of your beautiful submissions so far! As I'm starting to plan some other projects, I have decided to shorten the deadline to Monday, June 22 to submit for the remaining roles. From that point I will be making my decision on the deadline. I look forward to hearing your auditions!
Dimitri is a sly and charming con-artist from St. Petersburg whose real interest is in the fast money and who always must have the last word. Before meeting Anya, he has encountered few people who can match his cleverness and is soon outsmarted by her quick witted nature, which often leaves him speechless. Despite remarking that he hates women with their own minds, he soon warms to Anya.
Next to me this frightened girl
Holding tight as the dancers whirl
Keep your nerve and see this through
It’s what you’ve come to do*Feel free to add any other examples of your singing in this style*
General Gleb Vaganov is the main antagonist of the Broadway musical adaptation of Don Bluth's animated film Anastasia, replacing a fictionalized Rasputin in that role. Though less vicious than Rasputin and not a sadistic monster, Gleb is a dedicated member of the Bolsheviks who rule post-Tsar Russia with an iron fist, and becomes ordered to kill Anya so as to keep the long lost Grand Duchess Anastasia from ever returning.
She’s near at hand
Yet here I stand
My heard and mind at war
The times must change
The world must change
And love is not what revolution’s for*Feel free to add any other examples of your singing in this style*
The Dowager Empress Marie Feodorovna is one of the main characters from Anastasia. She is the paternal grandmother of Anastasia and her four siblings, mother of Tsar Nicholas II, both mother-in-law and predecessor of Czarina Alexandra as Empress consort of Russia, and the widow of Tsar Alexander III. Angela Lansbury provided both her singing and speaking voice.
See that girl
Could it be
(spoken)
Don’t be ridiculous
(sung)
I refuse to dream
I refuse to hope
I must stop believing
I will never find her*Feel free to add any other examples of your singing in this style*
