America Rising - A Tale of the Enclave (Fallout 4 Modification)

Project Overview

America Rising - A Tale of the Enclave is a modification (mod) for Fallout 4 that I created for my end of University Honor's Project earlier this year, and serves as a spiritual successor to my Fallout: New Vegas mod For the Enclave.

It tells the tale of a group of high-ranking American Officers who were cryogenically preserved on October 23rd, 2077 - The day the Nuclear War engulfed the world.

During the player's travels, they stumble upon the facility holding the Officers. The player resuscitates them, and through a series of quests the player helps them reforge a faction known as The Enclave - The remnants of the American armed forces & government - to reclaim the barren wasteland that was once their home.

It is currently available to download on PC on Nexus (here) and Bethesda.net (here), as well as on Xbox One on Bethesda.net (here).

I tend to develop content updates for my mods in "chunks", so it is quite likely that in the future I'll reach out and contact you again to reprise a role. The same applies for if you don't end up getting a role, there's a big chance down the line I'll have something else for you!

As far as deadlines are concerned, I rarely (if ever) have a "This must be with me by this date". Typically it's just a case of the sooner the better for me. With that said, I am fully aware that this is a volunteer/unpaid call so I'm happy to wait if necessary. :)

Where I've specified an accent, take this as a "preferred" rather than a "Must be this"!

Latest Updates

  • Casting Call for America Rising 2 - Legacy of the Enclave now live!

    Hi everyone!

For the past few years, I've been working on a remake/expansion of America Rising - A Tale of the Enclave. I'm so excited to share that the project is very close to release - and is in need of voice actors!

The Casting Call has just gone live here: https://www.castingcall.club/projects/america-rising-2-legacy-of-the-enclave

  • Role Added: General Russell Ward

Hey, all! I wanted to thank you all for your auditions. The update containing the voice actors that were cast is now live! Unfortunately, I'm having to reopen this call for a character who I have to recast. The role is for General Russell Ward, a lead character in the mod. He has a fairly large amount of voice lines as it stands, and they will no-doubt increase in future updates. Let's see what you've got!
  • Thank you for your auditions!

Being my first time using CastingCallClub, I wasn't sure what to expect. The turnout absolutely blew my mind and I couldn't be happier with what I've heard. When I'm back from work tonight I'll cast all the roles and begin sending out the voice acting documents. I'll hope to have them all sent out by tomorrow. It'll be extremely difficult picking who to cast due to the sheer quality of all the auditions. If you haven't been cast, please don't be discouraged. There'll be more content updates for America Rising in the future and more roles will definitely be made available. Thank you everyone!

NOTE: This is an existing character in the mod that I'm unfortunately having to recast. I felt like the performance the current voice actor did was absolutely spot-on, so if you could mimic it that'd be great. That said, if you feel you have a different voice or accent that would work well for the character, definitely audition anyway! Here's a clip of how General Ward currently sounds: https://youtu.be/ZHfwY1sKUMs

General Russel Ward was born before the Great Nuclear War. Having served in the US Army for 15 years, he was about to be transferred to the Gobi Military Campaign (the American invasion of China in retaliation to the Chinese invasion of Alaska) during the Resource Wars.

Due to his exceptional skill, he was shortlisted as one of a few key members to be cryogenically preserved in the secret government wing of Vault 111 in the event of a Nuclear War, who would then work to restore order with other members of the Enclave.

Him and the others were never “thawed” out due to the mysterious disappearance of all Vault-Tec personnel, and the player finally wakes them multiple decades late.

He is reserved and stern, refusing to share personal details with others but willing to give praise when he feels it is deserved. He is also not above intimidating others to get the work done, and is a firm believer that the Ends justify the Means.

He will have some (But not many) in-combat lines, so keep in mind that you will need to be able to shout!

  • [The player has just met General Ward and the group he is with. Player asks who they are.]

We're the remnants of America's government and military. Assuming others have followed protocol, there's more of us out there.

  • [Mid-way through the story, The player has helped the General and his party arrive at a military base embedded in an Oil Rig. The base has been cleared, and the General has just put out a radio call for all remaining troops to regroup at the base. The General now reveals to the Player that his is part of a shadowy group of government remnants called the Enclave, who were antagonists in previous Fallout games.]

We are the Enclave. The last bastion of our beloved America. And from what I have seen here today, we have a lot of work to do. It is our duty to undo the damage caused by the Great War, and I will ensure we succeed.

  • [The player and the General are watching a demonstration in the base's Labs, when a soldier runs in with news that the base is being attacked by the Brotherhood of Steel.]

What!? Scramble a defense! Everyone - Topside, now!

  • I'm the Quartermaster, meaning; I make sure the troops have food and don't go into battle naked. Basically, I keep this place running.

  • After some supplies?

  • I'm on my break, find me later.

A generic character who sits in the Enclave base's operations room and co-ordinates squads out in the field via radio. She doesn't interact with the player, rather she adds to the overall atmosphere of the room. She speaks in a disciplined, focused manner.

  • Squad Gamma, what is your status?

  • Vertibird is standing by. Forwarding LZ coordinates now.

  • Acknowledged. Stand by for further orders.

The Enclave Officer is a high-ranking member of the Enclave's military, and has direct control over a squad of troopers. They speak with authority.

  • {In Combat} Open fire on those targets!

  • Your performance at the firing range earlier was disappointing. We cannot afford disappointing.

  • I heard about the raid your squad carried out on the Brotherhood outpost. Impressive work.

The backbone of the Enclave's military force. They are well equipped and well trained. At base, they tend to be relaxed and somewhat laid back, though in combat they focus and carry out orders to the letter.

  • And I thought Raven Rock Bunker was cramped.

  • {In combat} Taking casualties!

  • You and the Sergeant did well taking this outpost. We've got a strong foothold here.

The Enclave Technicians work tirelessly in the background, keeping the Enclave's equipment functional. While good at their job, they tend to be exhasperated at the sheer amount of work they need to carry out on a daily basis. Sometimes sarcastic, sometimes they simply mutter to themselves and get on with their job.

  • How do you even break one of these..?

  • Why's it always the air filters?

  • Power surges. Need to fit more breakers.
