IMPORTANT INFORMATION.
Actors will have short one word/one sentence lines (as shown in the Casting Call) that will be sprinkled throughout the game, similar to Fire Emblem: Awakening (Click here for an Example). The rough estimate is about 7 of these small lines, with 1-2 takes for each.
Actors MUST be active on Discord (provide username in the audition) and be willing to discuss deadlines for lines. As the end of the Jam is April 30th, getting lines completed in a timely manner is of the utmost importance.
TO AUDITION, you MUST have 2-3 takes of the lines with varied delivery (ex. "On my homeplanet..." vs "On my homeplanet...", or trying out a different emotion with each take). Some examples for how to say the lines are given in parenthesis, with different ideas for delivery marked by a "/". Feel free to try out your own interpretations as well, however.
Send all auditions + any supplemental material as MP3 or WAV file(s) to [redacted] or audition on our CCC!
WE ARE LOOKING FOR TALENTED, DEDICATED VOICE ACTORS WITH A GOOD WORK ETHIC.
Have good mic quality. We'd like it to sound as professional as possible. USB or XLR mics are both acceptable, as long as we can hear you clearly. Experience with noise reduction is a major plus.
Communicate with us. This project won't get done in time if we don't. The Jam ends on April 30th, so deadlines will be tight, but not unreasonable.
If this goes well, we'd love to collaborate on bonus features for the game after the Jam.
We think this is a great opportunity to help aspiring voice actors get their foot in the door with a little experience, plus something they can put in their portfolios. We can't wait to hear what you have to offer!

Basic Summary
An alien man from a totalitarian planet crash lands at the house of a young woman— and she and her best friend need to teach him the simple joys of life while also delving into his troubled past.
Gameplay Info
Classic visual novel fare- the player is presented with choices to interact with the Alien to get various endings and explore the story. Some interactions are romance-coded, but will NOT be necessary to reach the best ending of the game (platonic relationships are just as important as romantic ones!)
The game will be coded in RenPy 8.1.0.
