We are looking for someone to compose a theme song for the dub and audiobook versions of After the Sword in the Stone.
What We Need:
The song should be between 2 and 3 minutes and last no longer than 4.
We would like backing music for a vocal piece and the instrumental will be used for the closing credits.
The sound should be pop/ indie pop and catchy as we'd like the song to stand alone on its own as well.
Lyrics will be written by comic writer and other members of the team. You will get full contact with the team to find out more and work alongside them.
What is the Comic About?:
After the Sword in the Stone features a young King Arthur a month after pulling the sword from the stone at a New Year's Day tournament. At first he's insecure and worried but with help from Merlin his advisor and royal sorcerer and new friend Sir Lancelot, Sir Percival and Princess Guinevere, Arthur learns to accept his role and be thr leader he was destined to become.
The comic is aimed at children between 8 to 12 so the song should reflect a youthful energy and modern sound that the audience can sing along to.

Inspiration Songs from writing the comic are linked below so you can see what has inspired us!
Away With The Fairies - Ruby Roberts
I listen to this one a lot whilst writing, it reflects my own brain fog and Merlin's too, it was the first song used when the comic was posted and features on Merlin's playlist too!

Love The Memory - Felicia Barton
This is old one for association in my brain with the comic. The lyrics of time, family, love and friendship, overcoming challenges and magic really helped me get into the world of ATSITS.
