(Ree-ko Ko-gee-ma)

History: Growing up with her grandfather, Riko heard plenty of war stories from him. Unlike most kids who were usually turned away by the idea of war and history, Riko embraced it, eagerly listening in to each and everyone of her grandfather’s stories. As she grew older, Riko found herself engrossed in history and dedicated any free time she had to studying up on the history of Japan, her town and eventually branching out to learning American and European history as well.

Personality: Despite being the protagonist, Riko isn't very sociable. She's not shy per se but she worries about scaring people away with her random history tangents. As such, she's usually reserved and doesn't start actively making friendships until the killing game starts. 

Range: Medium-low. Very emotive. Known to speak with attitude on occasions (especially with Monokuma).
