Hau is an optimistic kid who was born and raised on Alola. While he is very easygoing, he has big ambitions of becoming an Island Kahuna like his grandfather and he and his Pokemon train every day to become stronger.

I really think Hau's voice needs to feel very friendly and optimistic. Within the official Pokemon games Hau is always seen as a very friendly force. He can get serious, sure, but his cheerfulness is very much a part of his character, and I think his voice needs to reflect that.

  • (The player has just walked in and Hau is introducing himself)

Hey cousin! My name's Hau and I like Pokemon!

(Hau is lightheartedly talking about his Pokemon training regimen)

Me and my Raichu have been through so many battles, but to be honest, we bond the most when eating haha.

(Hau is talking to his actual cousin Ulani, and is getting fired up at the prospect of battling her!)

"Oh? You think you're strong enough to beat me now, Ulani? Well let's see what you've got, cous'."

  • (Optional) *Improv something you think Hau would say*

You defiantly have the natural voice for a character like this, only issues I have are the fan noise in the background and in some lines you do sound a little like youre reading. Otherwise very nice job.

Yeah I might improve on that since its kinda weird what I did, so I might redo it.

No worries. I understand the heat issue. Not much better down here in Aus but its something you have to bear for the 5mins of actual recording. As for your lines, I dont think there is anyone here who could remember each line verbatim. I carry a spare tablet myself, sometimes rest it on a rack covered in audio foam. Give it another crack, try reading the line a few time aloud and then ask "how would I say this naturally?" good luck.
