Shiroya was born and raised in Summer Village. He is the descendant of Hyuga, a legendary fire-manipulating ninja from the Fire Village.
In general, Shiroya is kind and cheerful, but there appears to be something hiding beneath his geniality. He has medium-length light blue hair and pale skin. His eyes are colored with by a gradient of dark blue to yellow. He wears a translucent blue hooded cape. Shiroya is equipped with a crossbow.

Being one of the country-bred members, he is not that into large cities, but he enjoys sightseeing. He has always been a happy, cheerful person. Fearing that his gentle innocence would inhibit his abilities as a proper ninja, his parents sent him to a hidden village for training to be tougher. However, they were not aware how hellish the place was. To protect himself, a personality born from his negativity surfaced in Shiroya to help him survive, and his eyes turn red. He hated his parents, having assumed that they abandoned him. When he returned from his training at twelve years old, he refused to go home and instead started living in Kaito's house with the Summer Village head's family.

Shiroya cannot remember what happens while the other Shiroya takes control of his body, and he only learned of the alternate personality because Kaito informed him of it. The other Shiroya is an embodiment of negative feelings and is capable of sensing those of his kind, such as the Ayakashi. His other personality later merges with Shiroya, and their mutual wish unlocks Shiroya's Correcting Power. However, Shiroya can still summon his other self to help him with various struggles. The other Shiroya becomes embarrassed with compliments.

He cannot create stronger, larger fire attacks, but he is able to create and shoot numerous, smaller fires, which compliments his swift movements. Shiroya fights with a sword in close combat. Unlike Kaito, who has the piece of the Drop of Fire visibly on his hand, Shiroya's Drop of Fire is somewhere inside of his body. The Correcting Power helps balance the impurities being absorbed by the sword and the Heroine, and he is later able to control his power enough to heal wounds.

He works as Kaito's assistant. Shiroya is an amazing cook. He has more friends than Kaito. He loves sunflowers, and his parents planted sunflowers on their property when Shiroya was born.
