The Nightmare, a collective of multiple Nightmares, takes on six forms of former bosses Link has defeated. The Nightmare is the primary antagonist in the Wind Fish's dream on Koholint Island. It is also the force responsible for the continued slumber of the Wind Fish. Like many of the bosses Link fights, the Nightmare is self-aware: at the beginning and end of the battle, it reveals the plans to continue the Wind Fish's slumber, and speaks of how its death will signal the end of "its world".
Character traits: Monstrous, malicious, evil, gruesome, intimidating
The exit... in order to go outside... You won't need it because you will die here.
We are born from nightmares... In order to maintain order in this world, enclosed in a dream while the Wind Fish was given eternal sleep... We were born to prevent the awakening, because the island will disappear... WE ARE GOD!!
Don't you want to stop fighting? If you do not, all the islanders will suffer. If you do not wake up the Wind Fish, then they will not. The Dreaming Island will be able to continue in harmony.
