Mavka — Main Character

Mavka is a spirit from Ukrainian folklore, somewhat similar to a mermaid, but associated with forests and rivers rather than the sea.

Abandoned by her mother and left to die on a riverbank, she became a restless spirit trapped between two worlds.

During her journey, she meets Lukash, a human boy. Despite their differences, they discover they share the same goal: to kill the same man, though for very different reasons.

Mavka doesn't trust humans and has no interest whatsoever in their affairs. She generally looks down on them, treating them as inferior beings unworthy of her attention.

Voice age: Late teens (around 17)

Personality: Cold, reserved, sarcastic, condescending and distrustful.

Voice requirements: A youthful, calm and composed feminine voice, with an air of superiority. Should be able to convey sarcasm, disdain and subtle emotional shifts without sounding overly aggressive.

Audition directions:

Line 1: Determined, with a hint of desperation and restrained emotion. Mavka is serious about the promise, and a little of her desperation comes through.

Line 2: Incredulous and condescending, as if asking, "Are you seriously that stupid?"

Line 3: Cold, detached and dismissive. She has no interest in human problems.
