Dr. Jonathan Crane was once an average doctor who specialized in certain drugs, and put one forbidden one to use that he thought was beneficial, Nixium. However, his supply was stolen by The Penguin and his crew and as a consequence of this incident, he was imprisoned for years for possessing Nixium.

Now, as Scarecrow, he uses Nixium for a new variant of fear toxin that makes people afraid of the first thing they’re exposed to. In this case, he makes the people of Gotham City fear Batman and turn against him in his grand plan.  He plans on making Batman isolated and breaking his mind simultaneously. As well as getting revenge on The Penguin.
He is cold, calculated, takes pleasure in his victim’s mental anguish, theatrical, manipulative and vindictive.
