Character Description
Jessie is a morally gray character who is a loud, blunt, confident, extrovert.
She is incredibly sharp, fierce, and fiercely protective of the people she loves, often handling the corrupt "dirty work" others won't do.
However, beneath her blunt energy lies a deeply rooted vulnerability and deep inside she feels desperate for love. She is a woman haunted by her past, caught in an internal tug-of-war between the chaotic survival mode she grew up with and the stable life she found with Lawrence. After years, a past lover claws his way back into her life until she is gaslighted and questioning her entire life up to that point. Jasper ends up successfully manipulating her and making her feel alienated in her own house, so she leaves Lawrence and her daughter Stella, the future main antagonist, behind.
We need an actor who can effortlessly pivot from a charismatic, over-expressive girl who smiles a lot and acts playful to sharp, defensive banter when she is proving her worth and then to an eerie, emotionally detached stillness in one scene.
