Hassan suffers from being far too nice, I’m afraid. He’s a sensitive sort...which is to say, a gazelle in the lion’s den. That’s why I am here. You see, my plan is to strike fear into the hearts of these shameless fortune chasers. I must look intimidating enough to drive them off. Admittedly, this…isn’t my usual style. But I could be frightening!
It’s so impressive. Personally, I’ve never had a knack for textile arts — I think it’s the needles. They’re so...sharp and small. Not to mention all the mathematics involved, my goodness. Pleats? French seams? Button plackets? Corseting? For me, it’s simply a disaster waiting to happen.
…a few. ………rather a few. At the Fete, I spent half my evening attempting to get away from Sir Ortham Buke. Goodness, but the man’s a bore. He suffers from the irrepressible urge to prove himself the smartest person in any room at all times. Anything I say must be corrected, no matter how trivial the statement.
