The sides they read from:

  • Indeed? Well, the future Duchess of Twillford should not require introduction, but I will show leniency today. My name is Prudence Mortimer. You may call me Duchess Prudence Mortimer.

  • Yes, the chaise lounge. Should I wish to swoon, I will require a suitably soft surface to land upon. Hence, the chaise lounge. Did I not make this abundantly clear during my last visit?

  • I don’t rightly know. A certain sympathy, I suppose. Perhaps it was admiration, for the way that she perceives so much beauty in the world. I wished…I wished to understand her better. Although art remains a frivolous pursuit, I believe she is a very passionate person. Most singular and determined.
