Mono No Aware - Animated Short Film
wowman for 3d Character Animator
3d Character Animator
As a 3D Animator on this project, you will help bring characters to life through expressive movement, clear acting choices, and consistent visual quality. You’ll be working alongside other animators who have already established the project’s animation style, pacing, and quality benchmarks, so you should feel confident matching the standard that’s been set.
Applicants must provide a demo reel showcasing their animation ability. Student or amateur reels are perfectly acceptable as long as they demonstrate solid fundamentals—such as timing, posing, weight, and character performance.
You should be comfortable:
Following the project’s existing animation style
Meeting reasonable deadlines
Receiving and applying feedback
Collaborating with a small team of fellow animators
This role is ideal for college‑level animators or early‑career artists looking to gain experience, contribute to a meaningful project, and build portfolio‑ready work.
Nature of the AgreementThis document confirms that the Contributor is offering animation work for the above project voluntarily and without guaranteed payment. The Contributor understands that this project is an independent short film and may not generate revenue.
Payment & Profit‑Share
No upfront payment, salary, or guaranteed compensation is promised.
If the film earns revenue through distribution, festivals, online monetization, or other commercial opportunities, the Contributor will receive a reasonable profit share appropriate for amateur or college‑level animators.
The exact percentage will be determined fairly by the Project Owner based on the Contributor’s amount of work and involvement.
Profit‑share payments will only occur if the project generates profit.
The Contributor agrees to provide their first and last name for proper crediting in the final film.
This name will be used only in the end credits and will not be shared publicly outside of the film’s release.
The Contributor understands that proper crediting is important for transparency, professionalism, and portfolio recognition.
All animation created for the project becomes part of the final film and may be used in marketing, festival submissions, and distribution.
The Contributor retains the right to include their own animation shots in a personal portfolio or demo reel, as long as they do not claim ownership of the full film.
By applying to this role, the Contributor confirms:
They are participating willingly.
They understand the project is non‑paid unless profit is generated.
They are comfortable sharing their first and last name for crediting.
They understand this is not an employment contract.
