Marisol is a warm and attentive woman who takes great pride in her family. Originally from Mexico, she has made sure that Anya and Lucia remain connected to their Hispanic heritage and culture.
She is supportive of Anya's dreams of becoming a psychologist, but she worries about her daughter's tendency to doubt herself. Marisol often encourages Anya in Spanish, especially when she notices Anya becoming overwhelmed.
Although she is proud of Anya for joining Pony Express, sending her daughter into space is something she struggles to accept.

The sides they read from:
(With concern) Mija, I'm worried about this job. You keep saying that it's a long time away from home and I just.. are you ready for that? And what if you get placed with this Marcus guy? You and Orion seem much closer, and I would feel much safer if the two of you were placed together.
Say something you think fits! (This line only needs to be said once).
