Wes Honeydew is a private investigator with the lingering rhythm of a former performer. He is tired, dryly funny, observant, and disciplined enough to separate what he suspects from what he can actually prove.

His voice may carry a little theatrical residue—excellent timing, deliberate pauses, the occasional circus metaphor—but he should never sound like he is performing every sentence for an audience. Facts come first. Flourish is permitted only after the fact survives.

Wes should feel capable without becoming omniscient. He recognizes irregularities, admits uncertainty, and refuses to let either side stretch his conclusions beyond the evidence.
