The High Vocalist adds bright, higher vocal colors to the group and will often be used for high harmonies, ad-libs and special vocal moments.

Requirements:

  • Comfortable singing in a higher register

  • Good pitch accuracy

  • Clear and bright vocal tone

  • Able to sing higher harmonies without straining

  • Good control when singing quietly in a high register

  • Able to perform simple vocal runs and/or ad-libs

  • Good breath support

  • Strong English pronunciation

  • Must prioritize healthy singing rather than simply trying to sing as high as possible

You do not have to be a soprano. We're interested in your natural upper range and how comfortably you can use it.
