Alex

Alex is one of the residents of Ol' Vincey's Retirement Home. He's likeable, easy to get along with, and generally pretty chill, but not so laid-back that he feels completely detached from what's happening around him. He can be relaxed and casual in normal conversations while still getting excited, annoyed, or invested when something catches his attention. Alex is autistic, but this shouldn't define his entire performance or personality. He should feel like a genuine person first, with his own interests, humour, reactions, and way of interacting with others. He's also really into rock music, which is one of his more noticeable interests.

Voice Direction:
Looking for a youthful masculine voice with a naturally relaxed and conversational tone. Medium to medium-low pitch, with a comfortable and likeable quality.

The performance should feel natural and understated rather than overly energetic or exaggerated. Alex should sound chill without being monotone or uninterested, and should be able to become more energetic when he's excited or invested in something. He should work well for casual conversations, comedy, and more genuine moments.

Avoid making him sound overly serious, extremely laid-back, or like a stereotypical "cool guy" character. The goal is for him to sound like an actual teenager/young person who happens to be pretty chill and easy to get along with.
