The primary POV character and narrator of The Last Summer. After moving into a modest home beside the Host's enormous estate, the Narrator becomes increasingly involved with a wealthy social circle they initially know very little about.
They are observant, relatively grounded, and often find themselves watching the conflicts around them rather than creating them. Their unusual friendship with the Host gradually places them at the center of the story.
The Narrator recounts the events of the series retrospectively, meaning this role will also include narration throughout the series, particularly at the beginning and end of episodes.
Role: Lead / Narrator
The sides they read from:
Lighthearted/Curious “I've only been here a few days and somehow I already know more about my neighbor from strangers than I do from actually meeting them.”
Angry/Disgusted “You don't get to disappear now. Not after everything that's happened. For once in your life, stay and face what you've done.”
