Soulsuck
Davonté T.Banks/LockJawJones for Ol' Vincey
Ol' Vincey
Vincent is one of Fade’s old friends and lives in the local retirement home. Despite his age, he’s still pretty laid-back, friendly, and perfectly capable of keeping up with Fade’s nonsense.
He has a dry, casual sense of humour and treats the bizarre parts of life on the SMP as fairly normal. His conversations with Fade should feel like two people who have known each other for a long time, with comfortable banter rather than a formal “old man” dynamic.
Vincent is older, but do not play him as frail, senile, or stereotypically elderly. He should feel like an actual person who happens to be older. He can be sarcastic, amused, blunt, and occasionally surprisingly energetic.
Voice Direction:
Looking for an older masculine voice with a naturally mature but energetic tone. Medium to medium-low pitch, relaxed and conversational. Vincent should sound warm and approachable, with a dry quality that works well for comedy.
The performance should feel natural rather than exaggerated. Avoid an overly stereotypical “old man” voice, excessive raspiness, or making him sound incapable of keeping up with the younger characters. He should be able to deliver both casual comedy and quieter, more sincere moments naturally.

Fade! Look at you! Still alive, somehow. Good to see you. Come in, come in!
At my death, you stop being surprised when people die. You start being surprised when they manage to stay alive.
Eighth deaths, eh? Well, when you get to nine, you've got a room waiting for you here!
