Fade is a chaotic, immature but well-meaning person who moves to Blossomshire for a fresh start. They're energetic, impulsive, easily distracted and often act before thinking, but genuinely care about others. Their ADHD affects their attention and can leave them completely hyperfocused on things that interest them. They often underestimate how dark people can be, getting themselves into trouble along the way. Fade isn't a perfect hero, just someone trying to make friends, enjoy life and figure things out. However, when they reach their tenth death and respawn anyway, their curiosity and determination draw them into the mystery surrounding Soulsuck.

Voice Direction: A masculine-leaning, gender-neutral British voice. Fade should sound naturally funny, slightly sarcastic and conversational, with dry humour, quick reactions, occasional rambling and unpredictable bursts of chaos. They shouldn't be constantly loud or exaggerated, but the ability to shout and scream convincingly is important for moments of panic and dramatic reactions. The voice actor must also handle quieter dialogue, confusion, frustration and serious emotional scenes naturally. Aim for a distinctive, expressive voice with strong comedic timing that feels like a real person. Don't force an androgynous sound.

The sides they read from:
  • Okay, right, new house, new town, new life. This is gonna be great. Probably. I mean, I’ve already forgotten where I put my pickaxe, so we’re off to a fantastic start.

  • I died. Again. Okay, whatever. It’s fine. I’ve got, like, nine more lives or something. That’s future Fade’s problem. Current Fade has mining to do.

  • Wait... tenth? No, no, no. That can’t be right. I’ve died ten times. So why am I still here?
