We're looking for Scriptwriters to help turn Soulsuck's story, characters, and lore into actual episode scripts.

Soulsuck is primarily a mystery and dark story set within Minecraft, with humour naturally woven into the characters and situations. The overall tone is closer to Glitch Productions' Murder Drones than a straightforward Minecraft comedy. The story can be funny one moment and genuinely unsettling or serious the next.

You don't need to make every scene funny. Humour is there because it fits the characters and world, not because every scene needs a joke. The mystery, characters, atmosphere, and overarching story should always come first.

Writers will work from episode ideas, character information, lore, plot points, and other notes provided by the production team. You'll turn these into properly structured scripts containing dialogue, actions, scenes, pacing, and anything else needed to bring the episode to life.

Because this is a Minecraft-based series, writers also need to understand Minecraft's limitations. Scripts should be written with what can realistically be performed and filmed in Minecraft in mind.

This means thinking creatively about how to portray things that Minecraft can't naturally do rather than simply writing them as if this were a fully animated show. Large-scale fight choreography, complex physical actions, and other things that would be extremely difficult to reproduce in Minecraft should generally be avoided or approached with a practical alternative. At the same time, don't let Minecraft's limitations prevent you from having good ideas. We're looking for writers who can find Minecraft-friendly ways to achieve the same storytelling effect.

Requirements:

  • Strong scriptwriting and dialogue skills.

  • Comfortable writing mystery, darker themes, and suspense.

  • Able to balance serious storytelling with natural humour.

  • Strong understanding of character-driven writing.

  • Able to write scenes that can realistically be acted out and recorded in Minecraft.

  • Able to work from outlines, lore, and existing character information.

  • Comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions.

  • Able to maintain continuity with established Soulsuck lore.
