We're looking for Musicians / Composers to create the soundtrack for Soulsuck.
The music will help establish the identity and tone of the series, which can vary quite a lot depending on the scene.
For the pilot specifically, the majority of the episode is fun, energetic, and chaotic Minecraft adventure. The music should help sell Fade starting their new life in Blossomshire, meeting people, exploring, mining, and getting themselves into stupid situations.
A major part of the role will be creating the main intro theme for the Soulsuck Pilot. We're looking for a memorable theme that establishes the show's identity and can potentially become a recurring musical theme throughout the series. It should fit the fun, adventurous nature of the pilot while still having enough musical identity to work beyond it. Maybe an 8-bit intro theme could work well, not set-in-stone yet however.
The pilot will also feature an end-credits rock remix of the main theme. This should take the original theme and reinterpret it as a bigger, more energetic rock track for the credits.
The two versions should clearly feel like the same theme, while the remix should have its own energy and character.
The final Soul Tree scene changes the tone of the episode completely. The music needs to be capable of shifting from the fun, adventurous atmosphere into something much more unsettling, tense, strange, or mysterious.
As the series progresses, the soundtrack will become increasingly comfortable with darker, atmospheric, emotional, and mysterious material, with the tonal variety of shows such as Murder Drones.
You may be creating:
The Soulsuck Pilot's main intro theme.
An end-credits rock remix of the main theme.
Character themes.
Location themes.
Fun and adventurous background music.
Mystery and suspense music.
Emotional or darker pieces.
Comedic music when appropriate.
Recurring musical motifs and leitmotifs.
Music specifically built around major reveals and story moments.
We're particularly interested in composers who can create memorable musical identities that can evolve alongside the story.
The music doesn't need to be huge or incredibly complicated. Simple, atmospheric, or catchy pieces can be just as effective depending on the scene.
