Apate should have a confident, naturally charismatic voice with a playful and slightly mischievous quality. She should sound like someone who enjoys having fun with people, particularly when she knows something they don't. Her delivery can be teasing, sarcastic, and occasionally flirtatious, with a tendency to draw out certain words or play innocent when she's clearly being deceptive. She shouldn't sound constantly sinister; some of her most effective moments should sound perfectly casual or even cheerful, allowing the malicious intent behind her words to sneak through afterward. She is intelligent enough to manipulate a conversation without making it obvious, and she enjoys watching people realize they've been fooled. Think Goddess Eris from Sinbad and Ursala from The Little Mermaid.
