Dave Poke’a’lot is a sarcastic, oddly cheerful training dummy in Voidless Tale. He jokes about constantly getting beaten up, comments on the player’s progress, and sometimes says things that seem a little too strange or insightful for a simple dummy.

Looking for a fun, expressive male voice that can switch between comedy and subtle mystery. Improvisation is welcome.

Dave:
“OW! Hey! I know I’m a training dummy, but could you at least pretend I have feelings?”

Dave:
“Yes, yes, good… just let old Dave absorb all those attacks. Hope you feel better afterward.”

Dave:
“Don’t worry. Dave remembers every poke.”

Dave:
“Oho! That one actually hurt. You might become dangerous someday.”

Dave:
“You’d be surprised what an old dummy can see from where he’s standing.”
