What do you do? 🖌️

Create Live2D character models by preparing and rigging separated character assets into a reusable model that can be used for animation. The Rig Modeler focuses on making the character move naturally; they do not animate full scenes.

Responsibilities:

  • Convert character assets into a functional Live2D model.

  • Create deformers and parameters for character movement.

  • Set up facial movements and expressions.

  • Prepare the model so it can be used by Animators later.

  • Communicate with Character Asset Artists when adjustments are needed.

  • Be open to revisions and feedback when necessary.

Requirements & Guidelines:

  • Experience in Live2D Cubism.

  • Front-facing models are the default requirement.

  • 180º rotation of the character (left > front > right). The head and body should be able to move independently.

  • Eye movement, such as looking and blinking is required.

  • Basic face movement (such as looking up and down and head tilt) is required.

  • Body layering (eg. an arm can go to the front or the back layer)

  • Lip syncing is optional

  • You may use:

    • A provided Gacha character asset, or

    • Your own simple original character model for the audition.

  • Assets do not need to be fully polished; the focus is on the quality of the rig.
