Omgggg this is great! I love how expressive and bombastic these takes are (for the other two characters as well!!), I'll definitely keep you in mind : D (And yes the sooner "y'all" is vanquished the better 😤 )

The main character. Brash and headstrong, not used to being told no and generally doesn't have much of a filter. His dream is to finally become a member of the Wormwood Club, a gentleman's club reserved for only the most unpleasant denizens of the British upper class wherein members must commit at least 500 evil deeds to get in, something Phil is determined to achieve come hell or high water.
He's a real self-righteous, caddish, smarmy David Niven/Terry Thomas type so ideally he should have a really posh British accent and should sound like he's about 40-50something. Try to make him sound unique but not so unique or cartoony that it's grating or hard to take him seriously when he's genuinely upset. He should generally have a very outgoing, manly-sounding, up-to-no-good vibe to his voice if that makes sense.
Keep in mind that you're playing a rich Tory-voting asshole born in the 1920s in a show set in the 70s so if you're not comfortable saying like out-of-pocket, backwards stuff sometimes then probably don't audition for him. Like you'll never have to say any slurs or say anything well and truly racist or queerphobic or anything like that but y'know expect a lot of "women belong in the kitchen" and "I still don't trust those damn Germans......." type stuff
