Commander Briggs, though not directly related, is like another uncle to Monna. As the first officer of the A.V. Starchaser, Briggs is highly respected, as well as very militant. That doesn't prevent him from knowing how to talk to children, especially when it comes to Monna. He's an avid fencer, boxer, horseback rider, and all around a solid leader.

VOICE: Any accent is accepted, but British or US East coast English is highly preferred. 

Inspirations include Sir Patrick Stewart as Picard from ST TNG, Robert Picardo as the Doctor from ST: Voyager, Peter Capaldi as the Doctor from Doctor Who.

(Giving a Speech) When I was a boy, there was a seaside cabin my father used to take my brother and I to. One day, while my brother and I went to the beach to play in the water, we hadn't realized how close to high tide it was. The waves enveloped us, the water frigid over our bodies.
