Sawyer is a cat who is living her 9th life to help Sophie grow as a witch. She is a rare talking familiar who is both gentle and wise, but is still a cat who wants to act on instinct.

(casually) Oh my plans include rubbing my face against a bedpost for a few moments before staring at the wall. After that I was debating between running around until I started panting or laying in the sun until my fur got too hot to pet properly.
(fierce and protective) No! You're still a child and I won't watch you get hurt!
