Once you get past an exterior hardened by life in cold-wartime and the company such a thing keeps, Natalia is a compassionate and level-headed individual (which puts her at odds with not only the other residents of the sub, but the identity she's built to stand alongside them). When people need someone to turn to, they turn to Natalyia. When Natalyia needs someone to turn to, often times she's stuck looking at a mirror.
