He is a mostly mute character, but he is capable of making a few sounds occasionally. He is a 16-year-old boy who is on his journey to become a Pokémon master. He is disinterested in everything else and is actually physically addicted to training to becoming a better trainer, willing to leave everything else behind to go train in the mountains. His first Pokémon was a Poliwhirl when he was younger, but he gets a Charmander from Professor Oak before he goes on his adventure.

He has a medium-pitched voice, kinda monotone and disinterested in everything but becoming a Pokémon master.
