Asher is...suicidal. He is a pretty likeable guy, but he just can't seem to beat his depression. He is the main character so he will have a lot of lines. He is sort of silly and always joking, that is his way of coping. It is really hard to get him to open up and have serious conversations. Although he is depressed he doesn't want to be "that guy" the one who drags everyone down with him.
For this audition ideally I want someone who sounds...fun and light hearted, not how you think a depressed person would sound stereotypically. Asher is the type of guy who has everything going for him but he just can't beat what he feels inside.
*Laughs* I know, it's ironic. A guy like you, one could see why you'd be down. But me? no one gets it. Gee aren't brains just wonderful.
How do I know you aren't a serial killer? *chuckles* what are the chances of there being two in one car? Nah man, right now my motto is just take chances.
I've always wanted to travel. So...fuck it. If I'm going to die, I'm going to see everything I want to see first.
