Varanus is a komodo dragon who was raised by violence. Odo’s Island, his homeland, is notorious for its “survival of the fittest” nature. After fleeing from his home for his own survival, he’d end up being purchased by the leader of Alcrest’s most vicious crime ring. It’s here that he meets Aria, who completely shifts his worldview before they were forced by the leader to split apart. The pair effectively trade lifestyles with each other. In lieu of violence, Varanus now lives by the blade… whereas Aria lives for the heads of those who’ve taken from her.
