Percy Jackson Audiobook
PhoenixAnimus for Hades
God of the Underworld, very bitter and negative. Though his voice is generally calm and reserved, he is capable of a violent temper.
- male adult
“Only two requests? Arrogant child. As if you have not already taken enough. Speak, then. It amuses me not to strike you dead yet.”
(Yelling) “Decide, boy!”
(Threatening) “I took her. I knew, Percy Jackson, that you would come to bargain with me eventually. Return my helm, and perhaps I will let her go. She is not dead, you know. Not yet. But if you displease me, that will change.”
Hey man, saw it was your 1st submission so heard your audition and I had some thoughts if your interested, if not you can stop reading here, I just wanted to help and I'd hate to offend you (especially as I'm not the producer of this project). You have a good voice and I liked where you took it acting wise. I'd back away from the mic a bit, it sounds like you're too close. A good rule of thumb is to stretch your pinky and thumb, if the pinky is touching the mic, your mouth should be about where you thumb is. When yelling, it's really good that actually yelled, a lot of beginners are scared to go all out and it can be very noticeable (I also still struggle with it sometimes). However, when yelling it's best to step further away from the mic or lower the audio reception if possible (through the recording software or straight through the audio box if you have an xlr mic), otherwise your audio will pick like it did here.
I really appreciate your advice. As you said yeah it was my first and I was recording it rather late at night.
I'm still learning about distancing, mic settings and so on. I'm running with a blue yeti but would love to get an audio box and an XLR eventually once I'm able to find employedment XD
