Wildlore Records is seeking multiple voice actors for an ambitious electronic music concept album by the artist Operation Midnight. This unique project requires at least 12 voice actors, including two adults and younger actors who can convincingly voice teenage characters (ages 14–21).
The album is based on an original horror story set in 1988, unfolding in a fictional American town. Inspired by classics like Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and The Lost Boys, the story is told through a mix of narrative-driven scenes and interview-style recordings, capturing eyewitness accounts of sinister and supernatural events. The album blends eerie storytelling with a retro synth-driven soundtrack, fully immersing listeners in its late-’80s horror aesthetic.
All actors must be American or provide an extremely authentic American accent, as the setting requires a natural and believable portrayal of U.S.-based characters. Actors will be provided with a script and must have a natural ability to dramatize their voices with convincing emotion and nuance. Some roles will require dramatic performances, while others will involve delivering realistic, interview-style dialogue to create an authentic sense of mystery and suspense.
Previous experience is not required, but passion, creativity, and the ability to deliver a strong performance are essential. This is primarily a volunteer opportunity, ideal for those looking to gain experience and be part of an exciting creative project. While payment is not guaranteed, there is a possibility of compensation depending on the project’s success and the quality of the recordings.
