One of two voices that Chara and Frisk occassionally hear when they die. It's implied the Anomaly is overseeing Frisk and Chara's journey. Pacifist encourages Frisk and Chara to stay on the route they're on, and butts heads with Genocide. Would be represented as a blue spotlight in a musical stage version.

Any range or voice tone is good... after all, it's you.

(Song samples in the Any folder in the project description)

  • (to Chara and Frisk) Keep staying determined you two! You don't need to hurt anyone!

  • (to Genocide voice) Hey, do you mind? We don't need you trying to veer this story on the wrong path!

  • (Sing any song - see description for specifics)

I liked how your voice sounded almost like how I imagine Toriel sounding on the first line—after all, who else would Frisk and Chara be most likely to listen to? :) And I liked how with the second line there was a little bit of an edge to the end of it, as if saying it in warning to Genocide like "You better not dare hurt these children!" And I really liked your singing. :) Thanks for auditioning!

Thanks, I'm glad you like it! I love the idea of the anomalies and they were super fun to audition for :)

You sure sound like you had fun voicing them! :) I haven't played the Genocide Route myself, but after learning that Sans refers to the player in that route as the Anomaly, and we're the one who guides Frisk and Chara (and corrupts both of them in a Genocide Route) I thought "Ooh, idea, what if I include them in the musical to include the 'Player controls multiple timelines' aspect of Undertale?" Hence the inclusion of the Anomalies. :) When first planning the musical I had toyed with the idea of the Anomaly being a collection of voices like a second Chorus (they are all us, after all), but then I decided to just do two voices both for simplicity's sake and to have some fun with their bickering. :)

Ooh, the chorus thing does sound like a cool idea, but I agree it would definitely be harder to do. No matter how the auditions go, I'd love to keep up with this project! I'm a fan of the Chara narrator theory and would love to see where this goes :)

Yeah, plus rather than sounding like two warring people bickering it would have seemed more like a cafeteria where everyone's trying to talk at once—two voices also work for the isolation factor. :). And yeah, the Narrator Chara theory was the entire reason I wanted to do the musical in the first place, because Chara needs redemption, darnit! XD
