Trumpkin is a Narnian dwarf.  He is initially captured by the Telmarines, but is saved by the Pevensies.  He has a very tough demeanor, but this is mainly due to being hardened by years of being ruled and forced into hiding by the Telmarines.  He begrudgingly leads the Pevensies, Elaine, and Eva to where he last saw Caspian, and even though they give him no small amount of grief, he somewhat befriends them.  Despite his small size, Trumpkin is an excellent fighter and joins the others on the raid on the castle and then leads the archers in the battle against the Telmarines.  When the Pevensies have to leave Narnia, he is deeply saddened by their departure, even if he would never admit it.
