Sopespian is one of the lords of the Telmarine council.  While outwardly, he supports Miraz's rise to power and claim for the throne, on the inside, he has a craving for power that rivals Miraz's.  After Peter wins the duel, Sopespian kills Miraz with an arrow and blames it on the Narnians in an effort to have them wiped out.  He is later killed after Aslan shows up and turns the tables in the Narnians' favor.
