Role assigned to: Huggernaut

Driven by his craft and working in seclusion, he barely noticed the world changing around him, even as the Kingdom fell to ruin. He spends his time honing his craft, hoping to one day forge a Pure Nail, the apex of his work.

Your audition should use a voice similar to the in-game character's voice, which you can listen to here: https://youtu.be/VDUILmFlddU

  • [Calm]  {context: The Knight's first conversation with Nailsmith}

    After a Nailsmith are you? Well you've found one. I'm not much for talk, but if its a nail that needs repair then you've come to the right bug. Your own nail is in quite a sorry state. It's obviously not one of mine. Still, anything can be refined with enough effort and skill, even that broken blade.

  • [Satisfied and Calm]  {context: Nailsmith successfully upgrades the Knight's weapon}

    There we go. The reforging is complete. I've honed your nail's edge. You'll find it much stronger than it used to be. Head out there and test its strength against your foes.

  • [Enlivened and Prepared]  {context: After forging the perfect weapon, Nailsmith stands over a tall ledge outside his workshop}

    With a Pure Nail forged, my work in this lifetime comes to an end. My only remaining desire is to see and feel the nail strike true! I beg you, cut me down. As my final moment in life, I want to taste the blade's exquisite edge. After all this time, all this toil... haven't I earned it?

you've definitely got the strongest nailsmith out of all the applicants so far. There's a little bit of p-pop on the audio, though. do you run single or double pop filter? i've been trying double lately. hard to tell if it helps, honestly.

    I tried out double filter and felt it didn't do much for popping, I've just been using a single muff filter and doing some editing in audacity to try and mitigate how pronounced the plosives are. Thanks so much for the compliment by the way! :)
