Bards are the "singers" of Skyrim. In this mod, they are used by the political factions as medium of propaganda, by singing songs of their heroes and ideology.
You don't need to be a professional singer. If you can sing to the tunes, then you'll be fine for the role!

The music were chosen for their link to the mod's narrative, too. But, if you are able to compose music, do you mean composing soundtracks or just making the tunes for the sung songs?
