Project Overview

Rayen Lycon has suffered through many years of high school as a lonely soul, and has long felt torment and neglect as a result. Enter his senior year at Renden High, he has made a serious vow. He seeks a girlfriend by the end of the year, at any cost.

He began studying any and all resources he could find to aid in his quest to approach girls. As he knew it, that was the only way to interact with them, as he never had any luck otherwise. Being an introverted quiet type has not done him any favors, and he stubbornly tries to brute force his way through these problems alone.

Little does he know, that picking up a girlfriend this way is more than he bargained for...

Thank you for your interest in Zeta Wolf Chronicles, an original English language visual novel! ZWC is currently in production by small indie group, AniClash Studios. 

We have reopened auditions once more to fill slots for our newly created characters. Right now we are looking for 2 female voices to fill the roles of Ferine and Arctia. 

There is no NSFW content planned for this game, but fanservice/suggestive content like flirting/teasing and such is planned (will adhere to standards of most T rated games).   

Since our last auditions back in 2019, the development of the game has progressed significantly. We put out our first alpha demo of the game back in March of last year, along with a trailer. It should be noted that our current build of the game and promotional materials are currently in an unpolished state, and eventually, everything will be fully refined once we are ready to launch on Kickstarter.

  • Zeta Wolf Chronicles (Wave 4) Final Casting Decisions

    Thank you to everyone who came out and auditioned for Zeta Wolf Chronicles.  There were over 200 total auditions this time around. It makes us quite honored that many people have been drawn to participate and contribute toward our game. We wanted to finally announce the casting decisions for Arctia and Ferine. Arctia will be played by bryncurry from CCC. Ferine was cast to an offsite actress and she will be revealed later on twitter. Didn't make the cut this time? Be on the lookout for posting of our future roles in 2022! We will likely have 5 female supporting roles opening up, as our game is still in development and slowly expanding! Please look forward to the introductions of these lovely characters in the future! Some advice for those looking to improve for later auditions, we'll give some tips. Usually we eliminate voices that sound too close to ordinary human delivery. Characters based in anime-esque art style usually have a fantastical or "ethereal" delivery, particularly for females. Out of this world, in a sense. That being said, there is a fair amount of acting involved as well, and your delivery just has to "fit". There's a key to every slot, and some performances just won't fill that niche. Thanks again everyone for your time and devotion to this round of auditions. Personality: Shy, Reserved, Stoic, Hesitant, Interally Calculating, Aloof, Distant

Rayen is a complex character who largely wears his emotions on the inside. Most of the time he is monologing, calculating his next actions in his head. Being alone for many years has reared its ugly head on him, and he feels betrayed by society to a degree. As such, he loathes social situations. Each day that passes puts an emotional drain on him that drags him deeper and deeper into its murky depths.

His words speak to the "abandonment" and pain he has endured, and he is very emotive in his delivery interally. This contrasts his public voice which is rather shy and reserved/doubtful when he does interact socially. To this end, he has two different sides to his character: The hidden persona which no one sees, and the outward facing one, which is public and society judges him on.

The character has alot of segments where he is "thinking" or having internal monologue as preciously mentioned. It is not necessary to apply reverb/post processing to match, however, it is important to apply a suitable tone and delivery for such situations.  

Other subtleties of voice delivery/tone/accent are up to the actor, but we're looking for a voice to match the character's appearance primarily. Since this is an original character, there are some liberties allowed in the performance. You're more than welcome to bring your own flair to the delivery as you see fit. We're still in the process of writing and bringing the character to life.

Just an example of a character with a similar "serious" sounding tone whose delivery tells a story about his past/pain. Hopefully this provides a useful reference. Naturally we are still looking for an original performance for role of Rayen.

  • (Internal Monologue) Problem is, I was clueless on how to proceed. Or rather, I was consciously scared of girls. Not because they were scary, but because of their power over guys like me. Rejection. What some guys fear the most.

  • (Hesitant/Reluctant/Response to an inquiry) Ummm, no. Well. Y-yes. I just wanted to--could I speak to you for just a minute? It won’t take too long.

  • (In response to a "social disaster"/Internal Monologue/Anxious) I had not rehereased for this! My mind driving me mad, I had to get out of the room and get some air.

Personality: Kind, Confident, Outgoing, Laid back, Smooth, Upbeat, Tsundere/Cold/Dismissive 

Siona has a wide range of emotions that are prevalent due to the scenarios in the game. Largely, she is confident, upbeat, social and laid back in most situations. Things have to go really off the rails for her to get emotionally frazzled. She is also smooth and suave talking to boys for instance. 

However, there are “dream” sequences in the game where she exhibits abnormal behavior (as if being possessed or a false persona). In these events she adopts the protagonists worse fears in an exaggerated way, so the delivery is more pronounced and emotional. Here she can be described as being cold, dismissive and unfriendly in her conversations, lacking interest and so on.

  • (Possessed/Alter Persona/Agitated) You don't know me do you? How do you know what I'm like? All you see is a pretty face and you're attracted to me. Pathetic.

Voice Type A (pictured) - Energetic, Youthful, High-Energy, Flirtatious - A tone and pitch to match the character and her design is also important. Ability to vary delivery depending on the situation and context. Stringing together and extending the delivery of certain words could give a powerful effect. Example delivery of “meeeeeean” instead of “mean”.


Voice Type B (not pictured) - This voice functions as a different character from Lyca (imagine split personality) in performance, while still having an identifiable pitch from Lyca voice type A. Qualities of this voice include:


  • Totally more subdued. Where Lyca A is “giddy” and “upbeat” Lyca B is “passive” and “reserved”, borderline cold. 


  • Coming off as “nice” but as an act, and totally neutral (example being in the unwanted presence of a stranger and outwardly appearing calm, yet inwardly wishing they would go away).


  • Distant and Secluded


  • Sometimes outright cold and dismissive 


  • She comes off almost robotic and emotionless in delivery.


  • The exception is when she is speaking internally, where she wears her emotions on her sleeve. Quotes denoted as being delivered internally expect a different delivery, close to Lyca A’s enthusiasm, but bitter and “battle-hardened”. 


  • Putting on a fake smile and pretending everything is ok wears her out, but in order to maintain public appearances, she puts forth some effort not to be totally rude. Internally, she struggled to maintain composure.

Hima is the counselor and homeroom teacher of Renden High. She gives speeches on occasion, and often gives advice to her students. 

Voice Type  - Her voice should depict a mid-twenties teacher. Regal, proud, mature, eloquent. She often speaks from a place of experience, like she knows what she is talking about. Intelligent and wise. 

  • Proud/Charismatic/Speech Delivery “High school is the start of a big change for many of you. I expect our upperclassmen to act responsibly and show their younger students the ropes."

  • Internally/Wise/Prophetic - “I'd hate to break it to the kid, but I probably know where this is going already...”

  • Stern/Displeased/Serious - “First of all, nothing in this life will be achieved by being lazy. If you're not going to try, you may as well get out of my office now."

Description: Half human, half wolf mistress of the mysterious realm, Lunian. A strange world that humans can only inhabit during their dreams. It is known that certain travelers have ended up permanently trapped here for unknown reasons. Has a bit of a sadist streak, and enjoys the suffering of her pupils despite being an established mentor. 


Personality: Tendency to be flippant and impatient. When the mood strikes, she can come across as borderline demonic if angered. Has no problem going into full-blown lectures to establish her point. 


Voice Type: Her voice should depict a mature middle-aged woman. Likely something with a deeper delivery.

Description: Ferine is another student at Renden High who plays a supporting role in the game. She is commonly seen with Lyca, being her assistant for various odds and ends. Very emotionally stable, mature and wise for her age. Practical, and to the point at times, with a desire to communicate with complete honesty.

Voice Type: Her voice should depict a late teens student. Generally possesses a soft, even voice tone except when she grows irritated or offended.
